Colin Hodgkinson in his own words:
" I alway had the idea that the bass guitar could be a complete instrument by itself and I really got the chance to make this idea in reality in my time with Backdoor 1969 - 1977. A trio with saxophone, bass guitar and drums, we had no chord instruments as such so I started playing chords, rhythm, lead lines and solos, challenging but very exciting times and it was during this period that I really established my style.

An album of bass solos doesn´t sound like a very interesting idea but I hope on this CD to change your mind ! There´s quite a mixture of music, some ragtime, some blues, some jazz and more, so I hope you enjoy it !"
